The first of those is to clean any debris from the top layer of your paint and the second is to provide that smooth soundless touch and feel to your paint. This is something you should use if your prepping for a new coat of ceramic or wax. Safe Directions for Using Status Auto Care Clay Bars:

1. Preparation:
   Before using Status Auto Care Clay Bars, ensure the surface to be treated is clean, washed, and thoroughly dried. Remove any loose dirt, debris, or contaminants from the surface.
2. Out of Direct Sunlight:
   Perform clay bar treatment in a shaded area or indoors away from direct sunlight. This helps prevent premature drying of the clay bar and ensures optimal results.
3. Clay Lube Application:
   Spray a generous amount of Status Auto Care Clay Lube onto the surface to be treated. The lubricant provides a smooth glide for the clay bar, reducing friction and minimizing the risk of marring the surface.
4. Clay Bar Preparation:
   Knead the clay bar in your hands to soften it and make it more pliable. Flatten the clay bar into a pancake shape to facilitate even application and coverage.
5. Surface Treatment:
   Gently glide the clay bar over the lubricated surface using light pressure. Work in small sections at a time, overlapping each pass to ensure thorough coverage. The clay bar will effectively pick up embedded contaminants, leaving the surface smooth and clean.
6. Regular Inspection:
   Periodically inspect the clay bar for signs of contamination buildup. If the surface of the clay bar becomes heavily soiled, fold it over or knead it to expose a clean surface for continued use.
7. Clay Bar Lubrication:
   Reapply Status Auto Care Clay Lube as needed to maintain a lubricated surface while using the clay bar. Ensure the surface remains wet to prevent scratching or marring.
8. Buffing and Polishing:
   After completing the clay bar treatment, wipe away any remaining residue with a clean microfiber towel. Follow up with polishing or waxing as desired to enhance the surface shine and protection.
9. Storage:
   Store the clay bar in its original packaging or an airtight container to prevent it from drying out or becoming contaminated. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
